Founder
Stan Galanski has spent nearly 40 years in the property/casualty insurance industry. From January 1, 2003 until it’s May 2019 acquisition by The Hartford, he was President and CEO of The Navigators Group, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed global specialty insurer. During his tenure, Navigators grew from a $150 million premium insurer operating from four US offices and London to $2 billion in premium produced from 19 offices in the US; six in continental Europe; and three operations in Asia. In addition to serving as President of Navigators Insurance Company and Navigators Specialty Insurance Company, he also served as Director of NUAL, the Company’s Lloyd’s managing agency. He championed the acquisition of the Belgium-based underwriting agency BDM and the insurer ASCO in 2017.
Prior to Navigators, Stan was Chief Executive Officer of Intercargo Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed specialty insurer with operations in the US, UK and Hong Kong, from 1997 until it’s sale to XL Capital in 1999. From 1995-1997, Stan was President of New Hampshire Insurance Company, an AIG subsidiary. He spent nearly 15 years at Chubb in various underwriting and management roles.
Stan is Vice-Chairman of Kids in Crisis, a Fairfield County non-profit focused on protecting children; a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Overseers of the School of Risk Management and Insurance of St. John’s University; he previously served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of PCI, an industry trade group until its merger with AIA in 2019.
