Ciro DeFalco

Ciro DeFalco was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Navigators Group, Inc. beginning October 2011 until its May 2019 acquisition by The Hartford. Through his partnership with the CEO, Ciro contributed to an increase in market capitalization from approximately $680 million in late 2011 to a nearly $2.2 billion valuation upon its sale. In addition to serving as Chief Financial Officer, he was a member of the Global Leadership Team and served as a Director of its two U.S. insurance companies, Lloyd’s of London Syndicate and two Continental European companies.

Prior to Navigators, Ciro was Senior Vice President & Group Planning Officer of White Mountains Re Group (WMRe), the reinsurance subsidiary of White Mountains Insurance Group [NYSE: WTM].  Ciro has held a variety of senior corporate finance, accounting and treasury positions at White Mountains Re, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Johnson & Higgins, and other insurance/non-insurance industry firms.

Ciro holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Pace University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.  He is accredited as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and several Finance, Accounting and Educational associations.
